About This Guide: Who Publishes It, Who Pays For It, And How Errors Get Fixed

This guide is published by a small Nigerian editorial team that earns nothing from the brokers it writes about.

This Guide Is Written By A Small Editorial Team, Not A Broker

This guide is published by a small independent editorial team based in Nigeria, writing for Nigerian readers who are considering retail forex. Nobody here is a licensed dealer, and nothing on this site is financial advice. The team's only interest is that readers do not lose money to bad information.

That matters because most forex content aimed at Nigerians is produced by the people selling the accounts. Affiliate reviews, Telegram signals, and YouTube channels often earn per sign-up, which turns a review into a sales pitch. This guide takes the opposite position: assume every promise of easy income is a marketing cost you will pay for.

How The Guide Is Funded, And What That Means For You

The site is funded by advertising and by readers who choose to support it. No broker pays for a mention, a ranking, or a favourable write-up. If that ever changes, the change will be stated on this page before it happens, not buried in a footer.

Funding by advertising still creates pressure, so treat every page as a starting point rather than a verdict. A broker's own funding page is the only place where deposit methods, withdrawal rules and charges are authoritative. Check it yourself, in naira terms, before you send anything.

The Regulatory Position In Nigeria Is Not What Brokers Imply

Retail forex brokers are not licensed for online FX dealing in Nigeria. Residents typically trade with offshore-regulated firms, and CBN rules govern moving currency in and out of the country. Any broker suggesting it is fully licensed locally is telling you something you should verify.

To check whether a firm appears on the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators, go to sec.gov.ng and search the public list yourself. Absence from that list does not automatically make a firm a scam, but it does mean you have no local regulator standing behind your deposit.

Bank transfer is the main payment rail here, alongside OPay, PalmPay, Moniepoint, card and USSD transfer. Offshore brokers may not accept all of these, and the route your money takes affects how easily you can get it back. Test a small withdrawal before you commit serious capital.

How Corrections Work, And How To Send One

If something here is wrong, it gets corrected and the correction is visible. Send the page address, the sentence you dispute, and a source the reader can check. Screenshots of a broker's terms page are more useful than a claim that a broker is bad.

Corrections that change the meaning of a page are noted at the foot of that page. Minor typos are fixed silently. If a broker's terms change and a page becomes misleading, the page is rewritten or removed rather than left up with a warning.

No page here will ever estimate your profit, name a best broker, or claim a firm is safe. Session times are given in WAT, UTC+1, because that is the clock you actually trade on. Sydney runs 23:00 to 08:00, Tokyo 01:00 to 10:00, London 09:00 to 18:00, and New York 14:00 to 23:00, with the London and New York overlap falling between 14:00 and 18:00 WAT.

Trading forex and CFDs on margin carries a high risk of losing more than you deposit. Most retail accounts lose money. Nothing on this page is financial advice.
