Updated Sep 2026 · how we rate brokers

We do not give advice

We will not tell you what to buy, when to buy it, how much to risk or which broker to open an account with. That is advice, it is regulated in Nigeria, and we are not licensed to give it. Mail asking for it gets a polite no.

What we will do is explain how something on this site was worked out, point at the public source behind a claim, or fix a page that reads as though it were advice.

Where the line runs

General information about how licensing and trading work
That is what this site publishes
A recommendation of a broker, a pair or a position size
Not here, and not by mail
Anything adjusted to your income, debts or tolerance for loss
We do not know them and never ask
Advice as the SEC Nigeria defines it
A regulated activity; we are not licensed for it

If you want advice, take it from someone the SEC Nigeria authorises to give it.

Business and partner mail

Advertising, link placement and content partnerships: the answer is no, and the same address takes it. This site carries one commercial relationship, disclosed on every page that uses it, and does not sell placement in anything that looks editorial.

Press and researchers are welcome. Tell us what you are working on and what you need.

What this address can and cannot do

Correct a wrong figure, date or licence number
Yes — send the source you checked
Explain how a number on a page was worked out
Yes
See, move or recover money in a trading account
No — this is not a broker
Release a withdrawal or settle a dispute with a firm
No — the broker's own support first, then the SEC Nigeria
Say what to buy, when, or which broker to use
No — that is regulated advice
Sell a link, a review or a placement
No

Where a firm is not on the SEC Nigeria register, the regulator has no power to help either — which is the reason this site exists.

Write to us

The address is contact@nairadeskfx.com. We read everything and answer most mail within two working days. Writing to us costs nothing and creates no account: we have no login, no newsletter and no customer records.

Please put the page address in the subject line if your message is about a specific page. It is the fastest way to get the right person reading it.

How a correction travels
StepWhat happensWhen
1 · You writeThe page address and what the correct value isAny time
2 · We check itAgainst the public source you name, not against our own pageSame week
3 · The page changesThe figure is replaced and the page says it was correctedWith the date on it

A number is never quietly edited to leave the page looking as though it always said that.

Corrections

A correction is the most useful mail we get. If a figure, a licence number or a date on this site is wrong, tell us what it should be and where you checked it - the SEC Nigeria register, the broker's own terms, a regulator's notice.

We correct the page and say on it that it was corrected, with the date. We do not quietly edit a number and leave the page looking as though it always said that.

What we cannot help with

We are not a broker and we are not the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria. We cannot see your trading account, move your money, reset a password, release a withdrawal or intervene in a dispute. Nobody writing to this address has access to any of that.

If your money is with a firm, your broker's own support is the first step and the SEC Nigeria is the second. If a firm is not on the SEC Nigeria register, the regulator has no power to help you either, which is the whole reason this site exists.

How quickly do you reply?
Most mail is answered within two working days. Corrections are read first, because a wrong number on a page about money is the one thing worth dropping everything for.
Can you recover money I lost with a broker?
No. We hold no client funds and have no standing with any firm. The SEC Nigeria is the body with powers here, and only over firms on its register.
Will you review my broker?
We do not rank or review brokers. We publish what the SEC Nigeria register says and how to read it, so the check stays yours.
